Rawy Films is collaberating with the Berlin Gastro Solidarity Network for A Taste of Solidarity at Markthalle Neun. While the hall transforms into a curated market of chefs, makers, and producers, we are stepping in to curate a cinematic lens for the program. Alongside panels addressing the ongoing crises in Gaza, the occupied territories, and Sudan, our film selection aims to cut through the noise—using the raw power of moving images to bridge the gap between global inequalities and the visceral reality on the ground.
Forgotten Voices brings the hidden realities of war-torn Sudan to light, sharing the stories of those displaced, exiled, and fighting to survive amid conflict, while Free Fish is an intimate glimpse into Gaza, following two brothers separated by siege and displacement, yet bound together by the sea.
Together, these films reveal courage, resilience, and the enduring human spirit in the face of adversity. Join us for the screening. There will also be a panel discussion with Mai Shattah from Bana Group for Peace & Development.
